Description

IMA 2009- 047 was approved last month and is yet to be published, the proposed name is known and will be supplied to the successful bidder.

A piece of phosphatic light brown gossan is punctuated with a number of cavities, three of these are lined with superb golden sprays of IMA 2009-047 and onto which in place dark green to black dufrenite crsytals have formed. In two other cavities there is a rich lining of leucophosphite crystals. The back of the specimen is a mass of dufrenite with a dusting of yellow meurigite Na.
