Description
Locality:
Oberon, Westmoreland County, New South Wales, Australia
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
2 × 3.4 × 3.2 cm
Largest Crystal:
2.50cm
Description

Three transparent stout crystals for a pleasing group, that displays well.
This cluster is unusual for Oberon area in that it is clear with just a smoky hint, where as normally this type of quartz from this location are dark smoky. This crystal has a number of internal voids which at one time may have formed hopper faces. There is at least one small gas bubble in these voids. A nice specimen with only a minor point of attachment at the base and some scuffing on a couple of edges.
