Description

Radial aggregates of scalenohedral calcite crystals that have been replaced by royal blue shattuckite and emerald green dioptase. The groups are surrounded by light blue chrysocolla, which is typical for the locality.

Interestingly, and really extremely rare to find are some white translucent crystals of calcite that are still preserved, and only partially replaced by blue shattuckite. I keep one specimen such as this in my collection and this is the second one that has pass throw my hands in all these years.

It was collected before 1968 by Martíal Borzee, a Belgian colonist to Congo.

Ex. Martíal Borzee specimen.
