Description

Even if andradite is not such a rare species this kind of specimens are hard to find because it comes from the type locality!!!. It is very bright, perfectly crystallized with net rhombic dodecahedral crystals {110}, partially bevelled, with nice dark green to brown colour and bottle green reflexes. Andradites are imbedded in a thin crus of quartz associated to  quartz crystals.

Collected at the end of the 1970’s (1977-80) by Norwegian collector Magnus Svensli.
