Well-formed fossilized stony coral of Miocene age (25-32 million years old), that was mineralized in carbonate, and now completely replaced by transparent agate. The external coral structure, with the characteristic cup-shaped depressions of the corallites, is also perfectly preserved. The banded structure displays greenish fluorescence under short ultraviolet light and whitish under long UV.
