Description

Characteristic snow white, very light porous microcrystalline sepiolite specimen, known as "sea foam" (meerschaum), that was traditionally used in Turkey for pipe carving. Relative intense whitish blue UV fluorescence, specially under long UV.

Acquired in Turkey in 31/5/1994. Ex Gustaaf collection #724, with his handwritten label.
