Description

Cream white prismatic crystals of wollastonite imbedded in a minor matrix of blue calcite. Wollastonite shows some bluish fluorescence under long UV, and has two faces sawn. Found in 1927, Ex Helff collection (Graz). Ex Heinz Meixner* (1908-1981) #1164; #VIII/1745. Ex Dr. Elisabeth Kirchner (1935-2023).

*Prof. Dr. Heinz Meixner (1908-1981). Professor in Mineralogy, Petrology and Economic Geology at the Institute for Mineralogy at the University of Salzburg. Dr Meixner was the best expert on mineralogy in Austria (Pfaffl, 1986). Meixnerite was named after him.
