Description

Group of well-formed, translucent intergrown crystals of witherite of white colour, resinous lustre, and horizontal striations. These crystals are mimetic twins on {110}, forming pyramidal clusters, similar to the witherites from the type locality in England, and not common in the mines at Illinois.

Ex Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Kirchner (1935-2023), who was a Professor at the Salzburg University (Austria).
