Description

Hanksite is a rare anhydrous chloro-carbonate of potassium and sodium first described in 1885. This crystal from the type-locality is double terminated and well developed all around. The mineral represents a great rarity. It came from less than 10 localities worldwide in only 6 countries and always in very low number.
