Description

Rhodochrome is a synonym for chromian chlinochlore, also known as kämmererite. Nearly all modern specimens come from Kop Krom mine, Turkey. Here is a specimen from Biserskoye (german transliteration "Bisersk"), middle urals, Russia which features micaeous masses of purple chlinochlore on dense cromite matrix.
A 19th century specimen, comes with a rare and very old printed label dated to 1830-1850, the Berlin time of Dr. Krantz. Sometimes after 1850 this was scratched and replaced by Bonn, the later head office until now.
