Description

Piece of rough mercury ore - massive cinnabar var Coralinerz (german 'Korallenerz'). It is an amorphous mixture of cinnabar, clay and coal. Sometimes hydrocarbons (Idrialite) are also present. This synonym is very old, mentioned at beginning of 18th century in context with the Idria mines and is probably from the reddish color of the ore.
Very massive and heavy. Comes with nice antique label dated 1880!
