Size:
9 × 6 × 5.5 cm
Description

In terms of color and association scorpion mine has produced some fantastic smithsonite specimens in a variety of crystal forms. I have selected two specimens that both feature blue smithsonite on colorless hemimorphite.

This 9cm specimen exhibits top luster- present as a pearlescent shine that is reflected off the textured surfaces of each and every spheroidal crystal.

One side of the specimen features the more typical botryoidal mass but as you look more to the oposite side it becomes clearer that the mass consists of many intergrown spheres until at last there are completely isolated balls placed in isolation on hemimorphite. The color intensity wanes from striking blue in the botryoidal mass to almost colorless in the isolated crystals.

The condition is very good with attachment contacts only.
