Description

Incredible quartz crystal, etched, broken, rehealed, probably several times! I can't find any damage, even at the bottom!
Fensterquartz, sometimes called also quartz-château  (castel-quartz), from a little area in south of Alpes, near Sisteron.
This kind of quartz seems broken by tectonic, and rehealed in good conditions, but with hazardous faces.
Found nearly free, in little clefts on bad  calcite. Only one specimen in one cleft, often broken ! Unusual shape, curious growths and deformations, but extraordinary luster.
